Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect in the first session?

Your first session focuses on understanding your goals, your history, and what you’re hoping to gain from therapy. We’ll talk through what’s working, what isn’t, and how we can move forward together. It’s a calm, structured conversation — no pressure, no rush.

How long are sessions?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes. Longer sessions may be available upon request.

Do you offer faith‑based counseling?

Yes — but only if you want it. Faith integration is optional and always guided by your comfort level. If you prefer a strictly clinical approach, that’s exactly what we’ll do.

Do you accept insurance?

No. I currently operate as an out‑of‑network provider.

What issues do you specialize in?

I work primarily with individuals navigating anxiety, stress, depressive mood, life transitions, relationship patterns, and questions about their sense of self. For couples, I offer a structured and compassionate environment where you can strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and work through challenges together.

Is telehealth as effective as in‑person therapy?

Yes. Research consistently shows that telehealth is just as effective as in‑person counseling for most concerns. Many clients appreciate the convenience and comfort of meeting from home.

Do you have after-hours availability for crisis situations?

No. In the event of a mental health emergency or if you feel unsafe, contact 988 (National Suicide Prevention), 911, 888‑274‑7472 (Arkansas Crisis Prevention), or go to the nearest emergency room. Hope and Clarity Counseling does not provide after‑hours crisis services.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can reach out anytime by phone, email or by using the contact buttons throughout the site. I’ll respond promptly with next steps and available times.
